I know the weather is almost too warm for this, but I'm starting to try and get together some themed dinner ideas (i.e. for example in cold months I want to do a soup for dinner one night a week) While my chicken noodle soup recipe is to die for, I am in desperate need for new, delicious ideas. So this is my shout out for help! Either e-mail me one, or add it to my comments. Bon appetite!

This is a veggie cheese soup and its delicious.
1/2 cube of butter
1/2 cup of flour
stir until it forms a ball
Stir in 3 cups of milk slowly, creaming it as you go.
1/3 Block of the huge velveeta cheese blocks- cut into little cubes
1 bag of california blend veggies.
cook seperate and add to cheese mixture very last.
Drain most of the water from the veggies but if the soup is too thick you can add that water, and it will add some flavor. Enjoy!
I forgot to tell you, nobody is stalking me but everybody started making me paranoid saying that I shouldn't post pics on the internet because people can track you down through your computer and all this crap. anyways, I hate to go private but I thought better safe than sorry right? What do you think?
I have the best potato soup recipe. I'll email it to you!
Here is a good and super easy taco soup recipe.
1/2 lb ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
Brown beef with onions then add:
1 1/2 cup water
1 can kidney beans, with liquid
1 can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
1 8oz can tomatoe sauce
2 TBS taco seasoning
Let simmer for 20 minutes. Before serving add avocado (optional), spoonful of sour cream, grated cheese and serve with tortilla chips.
It's also really yummy with sweet cornbread.
Nothing like a hearty chowder in the cold weather with some french bread or toasted sourdough, take it from a heavy guy :)
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup diced bacon
4 medium potatoes, chopped
1/2 medium onion, chopped
2 cups water
2 1/2 to 3 cups cups cream-style corn, 2 (12 ounces each) cans or 1 pound, 4 ounce package frozen
2 teaspoons salt
pepper to taste
2 cups half-and-half or light cream, scalded
PREPARATION:
Sauté bacon until browned and crisp; add chopped potatoes and onions. Add water, corn, and seasonings; cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in half-and-half; heat through but do not boil. Serves 4.
