Santa Cruz 2009

For Memorial day weekend, we went camping at New Brighton beach. I was WAY nervous to take the girls on their first camping trip, but they did AWESOME! Especially at night. They were so exhausted - that they just conked out!
Here are the little miniatures stuffed into a car that could not hold one more thing!
Here is our awesome camp site. It appears as though we are in the woods.....
...BUT we are right next to the beach!
This was a cold morning - the girls are playing at the beach in their jammies!
Bailey playing ball with the big kids
Lunch Time!
Bailey and Jer on a ride at the boardwalk
KK's and myself
Some random dude - thank you Glen!
Tired Bailey on the merry-go-round....
was a big girl and went all by herself!
Kennedy and Jer
True Love? I don't know
Braved a swimsuit! (despite chilly weather)
Pondering our new tradition for Memorial Day... See ya next year, Santa Cruz!

Bailey and Kennedy's 2 Year-Old Photos

These turned out so dang cute... I thought I would post them here

I Heart these girls =)

PLEASE tell me that you are NOT like every Joe Blow on the street who asks me, How do you tell them apart?" They look different, right?

W.T. Carnival

About a month ago, I saw some signs for the Sunrise Mall Carnival. I just knew it had to be ghetto - and I just knew that I had to go. The girls did surprisingly well. In fact, the carnival peeps did not abide by any of the rules, and let the girls ride just about everything - including a roller coaster which they were WAY too little for. Bailey made zero facial expressions while Kennedy told Jer, "off.... scared." It was just us riding so the guy let us signal when to stop it. I think that the roller coaster and then the HUGE super slide Jeremy took the girls on, might have been enough to freak them out. They refused to even go on the little kiddie rides after that. Hopefully we have not scared them for Santa Cruz this week.

You asked for it.....

So let's take a little trip down memory lane to a year and a half ago at Christmas time we were at our ward Christmas party in Utah. Some sort of musical performance was done, and our friend's little boy Max (who was about 2 at the time) stood up and started yelling "yeah guys" while clapping. So adorable. His parents hushed him. We giggled. Then Jeremy uttered the magic words as he looked down at our little babies, "I hope our girls are just like that when they get older."
Which brings us to today. Sacrament meeting. Fair Oaks 5th ward. The ward choir sings a beautiful song and just as the quiet spirit is filling the room and the participants are taking a seat, Kennedy and Bailey start clapping and yelling "YEAH!" I glanced at Jeremy and we both said "Max" and started laughing. Then we quickly directed out attention to our children who were STILL applauding. It took a quick yank to sit down, a hand or two over the mouths, and a few seconds of surrounding laughter before peace was once again restored.
And all I have to say to the father of my children who was beat red from embarrassment is, "You asked for it!"
