Easter

The girls woke up to their Easter baskets on Saturday morning (the Easter bunny visits the day before the Sabbath at our house). I wished I caught Kennedy's reaction to getting Snow White. It was a victorious dance that was hilarious!

Then that afternoon Cece and family came over for Easter dinner and of course an Easter egg hunt. They had to find the "golden" egg with money inside... and of course there were 3 of them!

On Sunday, we dressed in our best for church. That evening we took the girls to the temple for our "Easter Walk" where we found items that related to the real reason for Easter.

I was surprised by how much they caught on and remembered!

Backyard fun

We bought and installed a fire pit in our backyard. Looking forward to a summer filled with fun! Oh, and please excuse us if our family constantly smells like campfire :)

4th Birthday!

Happy 4th Birthday to my sweet little girls!

We did a small celebration with a few presents, pizza, and big spoon to celebrate.

They had to wait two weeks until their party, so we made a goldfish countdown. Between getting presents in the mail, family visiting and bringing presents, and their party - they pretty much have had a two month long celebration. Spoiled little things.

Beans Day Out

So little Bailey had her first 8 hour EEG. We went to the doctors, she got hooked up to a BUNCH of wires and then they wrapped her head up. She got to wear this cool little backpack around (where all the wires were connected). She and I decided to go shopping at target that day and she had so much fun! People were giving her "pity" looks all day, but she did not notice or care. She just be-booped around picking "treasures" out of the dollar bin and ordered herself a hot dog for lunch. She was pretty much the most adorable thing ever! After a long day of trying to get in shopping, eating, movie, and a nap (to see if anything triggers her seizures) we went back to the office to have them remove the wires. Unfortunately, in a follow up app, we learned that she is having seizures about every 2 minutes still. So, we are changing medications, and trying new exercises with her chiropractor in hopes we can get rid of them!

Newest News

So while in Vegas, the girls all of a sudden cared about the play structure in my parent's backyard. In fact, we kinda didn't see them the whole week. I thought, "I got to get me one of these!" And after we got home and they began to follow me around like lost puppies, the feeling was reconfirmed. So the next day, we picked up this bad boy. The girls LOVE it. (And so the parents!)

In other breaking news, Kennedy has never had a hair cut. So her hair is long. Really long. We talked about how it was long enough to donate it to someone that does not have any hair if she wanted. She has been toying with the idea for sometime now, but after a recent visit to my sister-in-laws work at Shriners hospital, she had made up her mind. She met a little girl who was badly burned and her face was pretty disfigured. I had not really prepped the kids for this and was hoping they would not say anything in front of her like, "Why does her face look like that." Instead my kids stepped it up once again, and through the eyes of sweet children did not really seem to notice. The only comment afterwards was, "A fire took her hair, huh mom." A few days later Kennedy announced that that girl could have her hair. With tears in my eyes, we did this....

... and it is on it's way to a new owner!
Here are the girls with their cute new cuts!
(Stay tuned as we follow Bailey's goal to grow her hair out as long as Rapunzel's from Tangled!)

Valentine's Day

This year the girls and I decided to make Valentine's (for their preschool party)
They are meant to look 3-D.
Bailey's says, "Valentine, you make me 'Snicker!' &
Kennedy's says, "I am no 'Dum-Dum,' I want YOU to be my Valentine!"
The girls also surprised us with Valentine's they made us!
Nanny helped them make the picture one... while they made the other one at church. Bailey's was hysterical it had us in tears laughing. It reads, "To Daddy, You have short hair. I called you a Cuckoohead. I love you, Bailey"
That is pretty much how she expresses endearment.
So Bailey.
Kennedy's does make it sound as though the other 364 days of the year, she is deprived and therefore so grateful on Valentine's day. Her reads, "To Mommy, You gave me cereal. I play with me. I love you, Kennedy"

I can only imagine what there church teachers think especially since they just recently told them that we NEVER read scriptures, pray, nor have family home evening. Way to throw your parents under the bus, girls! You're lucky you guys are so perfect and cute. You are our special Valentines!

Vegas Trip

We have not flown with the kids since they were under 2 (which equals FREE). So they have no memory of being on an airplane. Let's just say they were excited! Here they are with their own suitcases. It was funny because Bailey kept running ahead yelling, "We have to hurry we might miss our plane." I have no idea how she knew planes would leave. T.V. maybe? Such a funny bird.

While in Vegas I threw one of my best friends/ cousin a baby shower! She is expecting number two any day now. This pic does not do it justice, but I decorated the place to look like a "Winter Wonderland." I even made homemade hot chocolate and a onsie for the baby with a matching toddler shirt for big sister! We had fun seeing old friends, eating, mingling, etc

Me, My mom, and Melissa!
They rest of the time we just relaxed and hung out with the fam! Jer even had time to give my brothers some hair cuts. He sure is the cutest barber I ever saw!
Can't wait to go BACK THERE!
