Naked Feet versus Princess Class

These two girls are really starting to figure out who they are. I took them to a trial class of gymnastics and ballet, and asked which one they wanted to do. Well, after we told them that picking both was not an option, they made their decisions. With confidence Kennedy wanted to do gymnastics because she liked having naked feet. While Bailey had to do ballet because they got to dress up in Princess dresses and crowns (It is called Fairytale Ballet.) I love that they are o.k. being different and that they are starting to like different things. They are so sweet and adorable - I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

Utah Get Away!

In September some girls I know were gathering for a "girls weekend getaway" in Park City Utah. Somehow Jeremy talked me into letting him go with me. Of course. And after getting sick the day before the planned trip, I was afraid that I would not be able to make it! But Jeremy, Lindsey, and I drove out and made it to Utah at about 3:00 a.m. While Jeremy went to do some "guy stuff" (see aboe pic)...

I enjoyed a relaxing weekend enjoying the hotel robes... Dancing my heart out into the wee hours of the morning...
AND of course no Utah trip is complete without the blessed Cafe Rio Pork Burrito. YUM!

Our place was so awesome. We had two bathrooms, two bedrooms, two living rooms, a kitchen, AND a hot tub out on our balcony!

I also enjoyed one of the best pedicures I have ever received. The chick massage my legs for like a half an hour! A-MA-ZING!

At the movies: Such a luxury for all of us busy moms.

On the way out of town, we stopped and had brunch with a bunch of Utah friends. Don't tempt us to move back... we just might.

Knapps in Town

So my best friend, Stacia, and her family came for a visit. We LOVE seeing them and are still trying to figure out a way for us to live by one another so that we our kiddos can grow up together!
Max is a ladies man.

McDonald's play land was the highlight of the trip for the kids.

So cute and growing up SO fast!
Always got to have a naked pic to blackmail them later with...

All of us! Don't mind our glaring whiteness against Stacia's tan.
In their over sized night time shirts over at Nanny's
And of course there was sushi binge eating!
So now, the question is whether we move to Oregon or they move here!?!

BYU days

At the end of the summer, my beautiful friend Kaylene came out to visit her family. We got together with Tiffany - both of whom I lived in the dorms at BYU with. I love these girls and all the memories that come flooding back when we all get together! Please note that both Kaylene who just had a baby, and Tiffany who is pregnant are both skinner than me. How people?? I just might have to dig up some old photos of our BYU days and scan them in.

Jeremy's 30th 'Stache Bash

Jeremy threatened to divorce me if I threw him a surprise birthday party for his 30th, and after weighing through pros and cons to that offer.... I asked him what he wanted to do: go camping. For all those who know me, I can't throw a party without a theme, and for a guy who puts up with a lot of pink in his life.... I thought moustaches would work! We even played charades around the campfire of famous moustaches wearers, etc. It turned out awesome! So without any further adieu, I present you with:
Jeremy's 30 Birthday 'Stache Bash Camping Trip!

The decorations:
The Girls:

The disguises:
"You know, except from the moustache, you look just like your mother."
"But I don't have a moustache!"
"Yes, but your mother does!"
.
The Rope Swing:

The Lake:

More camping:

P.S. in Alabama it is ILLEGAL to wear a fake moustache that causes laughter in church!

We have a new Cousin!!!

Aaron (Jeremy's brother) and Trish got a call in early June that there was a little girl in need of a home. They have become her foster parents and are hoping to adopt her! Her name is Cielo (we call her Cece!) She is smart, beautiful, and the same age as my girls. They are in heaven to have a cousin in general - especially one is the same age as them! We love having Cece is our family. She is such a bright symbol of hope that there is a plan for all of us! :)
