Who names these things anyways?

Once again our society has somehow managed to mess up another name. Isn't it bad enough that we park in driveways and drive in parkways. Well, apparently not. "They" have gone and named - quite possibly the longest thing in the world - a short sale. We put in an offer on a "short" sale 4 weeks ago, and have not heard a thing. If anything, this process is making Jeremy and I real "short" with others... and that is not supposed to be funny.

It totally sucks. "Short" sale means anything but. Marc and I had an offer on a house in short sale for four months and heard nothing. We finally gave up with the last straw when we went to visit the house one day we found the "owners" had ripped out the stainless steel appliances, plantation shutters, etc. They took about 20k out of the house. The people were tools. Needless to say we were sick of it. We found a house that is way better and were in it within three weeks.
Hopefully, yours will not take as long. Luckily, you don't have to live in an apartment like we did. If you can be patient it can be worth it.

I wish you guys the best. I have been hearing horror story after horror story right now about closing on a house. Luckily with our foreclosure we just closed a day late because of the bank that owned the property (You'd think they'd want to be rid of it after 2 1/2 years...). Anyway, best of luck in the crazy housing/mortgage market!
